Our heroes are still funny - although not always, thanks to cliches. Where is the thrill? Where are tough soundtrack and enemy's devious plans? The plot is simple, childish, uninteresting. Nami also didn't have any role here - that sucks. Usopp fought well in the previous movie, but here he did nothing - blaaargh. I also think that Zoro's and Sanji's fights were short and poorly created. Chopper is kind of a focus of this movie, but his role is weak. There are too many animals, and the plot is mostly about animals going here or there, attacking or running. Here we have a 'bleh' enemy, with only 2 'bleh' subordinates, whose goal is something totally stupid - I don't even want to write what it is.

In the second movie we had a really cool island with a nice history, and the enemies had sort of a plan. In the first movie we had a nice plot connecting certain people from childhood, and a meaningful treasure. OST is also really good, it fits the situations really nicely. However, I have to say that the animation here is NOTABLY better than in the 2nd movie. I wish that there were original manga illustrations presented here in color, or at least that the ending sequence showed some after events on the animal island. I kind of find that out of place, because it would fit only if the movie were about someone's childhood or an old friend. This time in the ending sequence we got some short clips from each of the main character's childhood. New characters' designs are okay, I guess. As long as they have super powers, they`re in the show.
